How to Add Multiple Photos to an Instagram Post
The following instructions apply to both the Android and iOS versions of the Instagram app. There are almost no differences between the two platforms.
Open the Instagram app and select the plus sign (+) button to begin a new post. Tap on the Select Multiple icon. If this is your first time uploading photos to Instagram, you might need to give the app permission to access your library. Scroll through your gallery and tap the photos you want to include in your post. You can easily change the order later. You can include up to 10 photos in a post. You can also include videos up to one minute in length. Tap the arrow icon in the top right. You can now select filters for each individual photo or you can apply the same filter across all photos simultaneously by tapping a filter in the horizontal menu at the bottom. You can also rearrange the order of your photos on this screen. To change the order, tap and hold any photo to drag it into the correct spot. Tap the arrow icon again when you’re finished. If you change your mind about a photo and want to remove it, just tap and hold it, then drag it up to the trash icon. To edit an individual photo, tap the white and black circular icon and then select Edit at the bottom of the screen. From here, you can tap the Magic wand icon (Lux) to instantly lighten harsh shadows, darken highlights and enhance the contrast. You can also choose to adjust the angle, brightness, contrast, structure warmth, saturation, and more. Compose your post as you normally would, tagging people and adding locations, etc. Tap the checkmark icon to publish. You can only write one caption and tag one location for the entire photo set. If you want separate captions and tagged locations for each photo, you need to post them as individual photo posts.
The post containing your photos appears in your followers’ feeds, on your profile, and potentially on other users’ Explore page. All they have to do is swipe left to view all of the images.
