If you haven’t tried it before, don’t worry. We’ve prepared a step-by-step guide on how to post a video on Facebook…
How to Post a Video on Your Facebook Timeline
Some people prefer to upload videos on Facebook directly to their timeline. Creating a simple Facebook post is less complicated than uploading them to an album.
If you just want to upload a single video on Facebook, here’s how to do it by posting it to your timeline…
Uploading a Timeline Video on Desktop
If you want to post videos on your Facebook timeline using the web browser, follow these steps:
On your timeline, in the status window, click on the Photo/Video tab. A new window will pop up. Choose the video you want to post from your PC and select Open. Add a description and set your audience to either Only Me, Friends, or Public. Once done, click Post to share your video as a timeline post.
Using the Facebook Mobile App
If you’re uploading a video to your Facebook timeline using the mobile app, the process is pretty similar to the steps on desktop.
Simply follow these steps:
On your timeline, in the status bar, click on the Photo tab. Choose the video you want to upload from your phone’s gallery. Add a description if you like. Then click Post.
How to Upload Videos on Facebook Using Albums
Some people prefer to have their media organized on Facebook through albums. This method allows you to add multiple videos and store them within a specific album rather than a timeline post.
Using the Facebook Web Browser
Using Facebook on a web browser is quite user-friendly, which makes creating an album and uploading a video pretty straightforward.
To upload videos to an album on Facebook, you first need to go to your profile page and click the Photos tab. You can see it under your profile picture.
Then select Create Album. You can enter your album details such as name and description. If you want your friends to contribute some photos or videos to the album, add them as contributors.
You can also set your audience according to your preference by clicking Friends.
To add your video files, select the Upload Photos or Videos button and a new window will pop-up. From there, choose the videos you want to upload and click Open.
While the video is uploading, you can enter the video description. This is optional and Facebook doesn’t require you to fill in this field.
Once the video has finished uploading, click Post to share the video and album to Facebook. This will show up on your Facebook timeline.
How to Post a Video Album Using the Facebook App
You can also post videos in an album using the Facebook app.
Here’s what you need to do:
On your profile, click on the Photos tab located below the status bar and then Albums. Click Create Album. Add the album title and details, choose your audience, and add some contributors if you want others to add content to the album. Press Create on the top right corner. Once you have created your album, click on the Add Photos/Videos tab and select the video you want to upload. Finally, click Post to share your album.
