How to Post a 3D Photo on Facebook
Posting a 3D photo to Facebook is easy on supported iPhones and Android devices.
The steps to posting a 3D photo are basically identical whether you use Android or iOS, but the interfaces may have slight visual differences. Here’s what to do.
Select What’s on your mind at the top of your News Feed. Select Photo/Video. Select a Portrait Mode photo from your Camera Roll or an album and select Done. You’ll see 3D in the lower-right corner of eligible photos. Tap Make 3D in the upper-left corner of the photo. Wait a few moments as Facebook processes the photo, and then the 3D photo appears. Move your iPhone around a little to see your 3D photo in action. To remove the 3D effect, tap Remove 3D in the upper-left corner. Write something about the post, if you like, then select Share or Post.
3D Photo Posting Notes
For the best perspective-shifting photos, take a look at how your photo subject contrasts with the background. Colors shouldn’t blend too much and a plain background works best.
There are a few restrictions when sharing 3D photos. When posting a 3D photo to Facebook, 3D photos can’t be edited, and Facebook may not be able to convert edited photos to 3D. You can only share one 3D photo at a time, and you can’t add 3D photos to an album.
