For Fall Guys, a hit game show-based battle royal, enabling you to play with more players from multiple platforms only adds to the chaotic fun.
Whether finding a specific friend or enabling and disabling cross-play, Fall Guys has the options for you.
Which Platforms Support Fall Guys Cross-Play?
If you’re wondering what platforms support cross-play on Fall Guys, every iteration of the game is cross-compatible.
This means that PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S players are all able to play together.
As long as you own at least one of these platforms, you’ll be able to play with anyone who owns Fall Guys.
How to Set Up Cross-Play for Fall Guys
Right from the get-go Fall Guys defaults to basing your gaming experience around cross-play, with the feature already enabled upon installation as long as you have linked your Epic Games account.
Fall Guys will prompt you to link your Fall Guys account to the Epic Games store as soon as you load up the game for the first time.
While this feature is useful for streamlining online matchmaking over multiple platforms, it was only really implemented due to Epic’s acquisition of Fall Guys developer Mediatonic and could be seen as a way to force players to have an Epic Games account.
If you are okay with creating/syncing your Epic Games Account you can jump straight into a game, and you will already be matchmaking with players across every supported platform.
Players in your game will be designated a symbol to show what platform they are currently playing on, including a monitor and mouse for PC and a controller for Xbox and PlayStation.
On the other hand, if you want to disable cross-play completely and prevent yourself from going up against players on other platforms, from the Main Menu:
At the top-right of your display, select Settings (the cog icon) > Options > Gameplay. From the options for Gameplay, go to Cross-Platform Matchmaking. Toggle Cross-Platform Matchmaking to Off. You should see a warning message titled Crossplay Recommended. Select OK to turn off cross-play.
With the Cross-Platform Matchmaking setting disabled, you will now only search for other players on your current console.
To turn cross-play back on, simply set Cross-Platform Matchmaking to On.
How to Play Fall Guys With Your Friends From Other Consoles
While knowing how to enable and disable cross-play is highly useful, what if you specifically want to play with certain friends from another platform?
To specifically add a friend from another platform:
Select the bottom-right icon for the Friends(this appears as three Fall Guy faces with a plus symbol to their right regardless of platform).
This will open up a menu for you that displays all your current friends on your platform as well as a search bar at the top of the menu. To search for a friend on another platform, enter your friend’s platform-universal Epic Games account username into the search bar (most likely whatever login to Fall Guys on their console or PC) and click Add Friend.
With a specific friend account added, you can then use the same Friends menu at any point to highlight their account and hit Invite to ask them to join your lobby and play Fall Guys together.
