How to Play Audible Books on Google Home With Bluetooth

This process requires you to pair your Google Home or Nest speaker with a phone, tablet, or PC that has the Audible app.
This method is the best to use if the device you’re using to play Audible books doesn’t have Google Home installed, or you’re using a Google Home speaker you didn’t set up initially.
Here’s how to play Audible books on Google Home with Bluetooth:
Say, “Hey Google, pair Bluetooth. ” Google Assistant will respond through the speaker and say something along the lines of, “Got it. To connect, open Bluetooth settings and look for the device called (your speaker name). " Enable Bluetooth on your device with the Audible app. Search for Bluetooth devices using your device with the the Audible app. Select your Google Home speaker from the list of available Bluetooth devices. Look for the speaker name Google Assistant provided you with in step two. Wait for the speaker to pair with your phone, tablet, or PC. Open the Audible app on your device, and play the book you want to listen to. If necessary, set the audio output of your device to your Google Home speaker.
How to Play Audible Books on Google Home With the Google Home App
If you have the Google Home app installed on your phone, then you can use that to cast audio from the Audible app to your Google Home speaker instead of connecting with Bluetooth. This method requires you to connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as your Google Home device, and it will only work if your Google Home app has access to the speaker you’re trying to use. If someone else has set up the Google Home speaker with their account on their device, this method won’t work.
Here’s how to cast Audible books on Google Home via Wi-Fi:
Make sure your Google Home speaker and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Open the Google Home app on your phone. Tap the Google Home or Nest speaker you want to use with Audible. Tap Cast my audio. Tap Cast audio. Tap Start now. Play an audio book in the Audible app. The audio book will be cast to your speaker. If the audio book doesn’t play over your speaker, swipe down from the top of the screen and verify it says Casting Screen and Connected to (your Google Home speaker).
How to Cast Audible Books on Google Home From a Desktop Computer
If you have a desktop computer connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Google Home speaker, you can use Chrome to cast Audible books from that PC to your speaker. The process is a little unintuitive because the Audible web player pops out of the main Audible site, so the casting option isn’t immediately apparent.
Here’s how to cast Audible books on Google Home from a desktop computer:
Make sure your Google Home speaker and your computer are on the same network. Navigate to Audible. com using the Chrome web browser, and click Play on the book you want to listen to. Right click an empty area of the popped out web player, then click Cast. You need to select Cast from the context menu in the popped-out web player, not the main Chrome menu, or this won’t work. Click your Google Home or Nest speaker. The Audible book will be cast to your Google Home speaker.
