Due to Valorant’s varied list of playable characters, called Agents, and its team-based shooting mechanics many have compared the title to Overwatch. Unique characters on Valorant such as Jett have attracted attention and it seems that much like Overwatch, opinion will be divided on who is the best character to play as. Raze already has a fan base and the heavy explosion based attacks can be extremely effective if they are used correctly.

The ‘Boom Bot’ is a powerful weapon that travels in a straight line but can lock on to enemies and track them down. If used around a corner or into rooms the device will not only deal a great deal of damage but can alert a player to enemies who cannot be seen. The opposition will likely shoot the ‘Boom Bot’ to stop it and this should allow players to identify where they are. Another great way to scare an enemy is the ‘Blast Pack’ which has a couple of practical applications. The pack can be placed on the floor and used as a jump boost by Raze, in order to get to hard to reach places or see more of the map. The pack can also be thrown blindly into buildings to damage enemies. Valorant has a lot to offer and there are also stronger damaging inflicting abilities for Raze.
The ‘Paint Shell’ is Raze’s signature ability and it works like an ordinary cluster grenade only it mutates causing more damage as it explodes. It can also be blown up while in flight causing a rain of damage, yet it is worth noting that the ability can damage the player and their teammates. If players can find a cluster grenade early on, this ability can wipe out opponents when they have not equipped armor. Raze has been nerfed because of the power of their abilities but players will still find their ultimate ability, ‘Showstopper’, very powerful.
The ‘Showstopper’ allows Raze to use a rocket launcher for a limited time, but this is a powerful attack that can even allow players to move mid-air when shooting. Players should not get too cocky though as the explosions also damage the character. With a range of attacks for varied Agents, many are hoping that Valorant will find its way to consoles, for now, PC players can enjoy experimenting with the early stages of the game.
