Twitter is rolling out the ability to let you pin multiple DM conversations, so you can keep your favorite private conversations at the top of your DMs thread for quick access.
So how exactly do you pin a DM conversation and why should you do it? Let’s find out.
Twitter Rolls Out Pinned DMs to All Users
Twitter is letting you pin your favorite DM conversations at the top of your DMs folder.
Previously exclusive to Twitter Blue subscribers, the feature is now available to all users on both the iOS and Android apps, as well as on the web. Twitter announced the expansion of the feature in a tweet, adding that you can pin up to six conversations.
How to Pin a DM Conversation on Twitter’s Mobile App
You can pin a DM conversation in a matter of seconds. Follow the steps below to get started:
Open the Twitter app on your phone. Navigate to your DM folder and find the conversation you want to pin to the top. Without opening the chat, swipe right to reveal the pin on the left. Now tap the pin.
Repeat this process for up to five more chats, if you want.
How to Pin a DM Conversation on Twitter for the Web
Open Twitter on your browser of choice. Click on Messages in the bottom-right corner. Find the chat you want to pin, then click on the three-dot menu to the right of the chat. Now click on Pin conversation. Again, you can repeat this process to pin five more conversations.
Why You Should Pin DM Conversations on Twitter
Twitter’s rollout of the pinned DMs feature to all users makes it so much easier to find important DMs so you can continue conversations with the people who really matter.
And being able to pin up to six chats means that you can quickly find chats with your close friends without having to sort through spam messages that may be cluttering your inbox.
