Use this method if your account is still active but you are unable to sign in because you don’t have the password.

If you’ve associated one or more email addresses with the account, you’ll see the option to receive a password reset code via email. As long as you have access to log in to the provided email address(es), you’ll be able to recover your account. If there’s a phone number connected to your account, you’ll see the option to receive a code via SMS. Select that option as long as you have access to that phone number. You may see other options, including the option to sign in using a Google account. If you don’t have access to any of the proposed options, click No longer have access to these? instead.

If you selected No longer have access to these? you will be asked to try signing in again. If you are not able to do so and don’t have access to the email address provided, click I Cannot Access My Email. At this point, you will only be able to regain access to your account if you are able to regain access to the email address or phone number associated with your account so you can receive the confirmation code. Facebook will be unable to restore your account until you do so. [3] X Research source

For security purposes, it’s recommended that you create a password that has letters, numbers, and special characters.

If you believe your account was disabled in error, continue with this method. Facebook removed the option to explain your side of the situation in late 2019. [5] X Research source You can still submit your ID as proof that you’re a real person and hope for the best, but there’s no way to address an issue specifically.
